I'm not sure what to say....seems like an invitation to discuss why NOT a 6" f/8 refractor. I have a 5" f/8 in my collection and it is gorgeous and I have had some wonderful nights with it. But I don't think it's the optimum unless'n of course y'all happen to love refractors. Which of course is what a refractor group is for. My refractor definitely gets marks for "looking cool". But I can think of several other scopes I'd rather have than a 6" f/8 refractor, were I forced to choose. Fortunately I'm not forced to choose. Swap that Coulter for a 10" with Swayze, Galaxy, or similar class optics and you might change your mind! regards Greg N

I'm glad you enjoy your telescope. Do you like Brandons?

Anyhow, no, I'm not of the Brandon tribe. I'm into Pentax XWs.
