Question regarding the Televue 85...

Hey everyone,

I am thinking about picking up a TV 85 scope, but I all I want to get is the OTA. I don't think it comes with rings and I was wondering what you thought would be a good set to pick up for the scope? I need something that will let me attach it to a dovetail plate and I would prefer not using guide rings.

Thanks,

David

I mounted both my FS78 and my TV102 using Parallax standard rings. Tried them on the FS78 and, when I saw how nicely they worked, bought a set for the TV102. Was happy to get away from mounting with the TV ring.

They don't have the smoothest surface finish nor the most elegant look, but they're strong, functional and easy to use. Threaded 1/4-20 which makes finding attachment hardware easy.
