I am thinking about selling a Solar 60mm filter and my NP101. With the money I was thinking of getting a TEC140. I am visual observer.

That sounds like a really good plan. I haven't heard anything bad about the TEC 140. It is one of the top rated scopes at excelsis.com. The owners we hear from here are really effusive about it. The only disadvantage is that it is a bit bigger than your 101.
