Some moderators on Astromart try to keep their forums "on topic." On topic is not particularly important to me. The recent off topic threads have been rather entertaining and in my opinion these threads serve to build and solidify a sense of refractor community here. So they are on topic in one sense.
I do read each and every post. I will occasionally delete something if there is a TOS violation. I have not seen any TOS violations in the recent threads so everything stays for now.
That being said....
I would like to see the side issue regarding Chris Faris taken back to the Religion forum or private message. There is only a small handful of the very many folks who regularly read "Refractors" who also know or care one bit about Chris Faris and the old crisis in the Religion forum. In my experience, these side journeys last a few days and then blow over. I am counting on this being the case here.
