Anyone here have a Meade ETX60? I have a couple of questions about the OTA, which I hope will help me fix one that someone dropped off here.

Alan: I had an ETX-70EC for a while, took it apart more than once. The ETX-70 and 60 use the same OTA, same focal length, just a different lens. I will help if I can...

Sorry to jump in late and since you have the scope fixed this won't be of much use but www.weasner.com/etx has an article in the techtips section on how to field strip an ETX-60 or ETX-70 to fix a focus knob problem. The author did a nice job with many photos that are clearly marked to show what needs to be done.
