Cutting CR150 Tube for Binoviewer

I would like to have my CR150 tube cut down so than I can use my binoviewer without the 2x corrector lens. Has anyone out there done this? How has it worked out? I am looking for a machine shop that could handle the job without messing the tube up. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
