Celstron Onyx

Hi Gang,

Does anyone here own or have used one of these scopes?

Thanks

I had one for about a year, mostly to use as a travel scope. Mechanics are very nice, but only a single-speed focuser (but a nice one). Optics were fine, too--sharp, with little CA. Overall, it's in the pack with similarly-priced 80mm ED scopes. If buying new, I'd probably go with the Orion Eon 80, which has a dual speed focuser, instead. If you find an attractive price on a used one, then go for it.
