I just read the "New Apos" thread and was struck that maybe many of the threads in this particular sub-forum should be moved down to "religion."

(I do own two refractors)

OK, that's all....

(ducking and covering and running out the door)

Owning a bunch of refractors of various sizes, designs and vintages, I can say with complete authority that I'm NOT out lunch...but I do walk to work.

As the owner of two apos myself, I'd say breakfast, lunch, and dinner (not to mention midnight snacks). smile

About moving the discussion to the "Religion" forum. Not a bad idea--though maybe someone should start a "Metaphysics" forum. Sometimes these conversations about apos remind me of the hair-splitting debates among medieval theologians. You know the sort of thing: How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? So how many can dance on a triplet objective? smile

Yeah! And it's either fast-food or starve here in NY!

A clear evening sky here in central NY means you set up and start viewing immediately if you want to see anything. Half an hour later...or whenever the compound optics cool off, the sky will be covered by a high thin overcast.

Wolf down the goodies before they're taken away. Nothing beats a small refractor for that.
