i also sent opt an email stating that i think specs are in error and when i get it if i don't like it will send it back.also who is going to grind 4 separate lens elements of normal glass to save money, when they can grind 2 of crown and flint.

A 4 element design is typically a Petzval which consists of a normal 2 element objective in front plus a field flattened/focal reducer in the rear. At $650 you can be sure that the objective is an achromart.

One advantage of the Petzval would seem to be that the objective has a longer focal length and reduced so the color correction is that of longer focal length. But I believe Roland has said otherwise.

Bottomline: if you are not happy with the scope, I am sure OPT will make it right. The good dealers like opt and Anacortes are right the for their customers.
