Hey guys, how are you? I need some advise about something: I bought recently a mak scope, an Intes Mk 66 deluxe ota and i`m looking now for a mount to it; i´m specially an observer, but maybe, in the future, i get interested for astrofotography, so the mount should be according to that! Not sure of what your budget is, but Astrophotography will require a sturdier mount, which translates normally into more $$$...
I would recommend a Vixen Polaris GPDX or a Losmandy GM-8 for your scope, since it is compact and not too heavy (your OTA), leaving room for upgrades & accessories if needed...
Some of the newer mounts might also do the trick, like the Orion Atlas and others, but have not seen them in action as far as Astrophotography goes... I'm sure others will chime in...
