Uncemented eyepieces for solar projection

Does anybody have a source for some uncemented Huygenian, Ramsden or other simple eyepieces for use in solar projection?

I'm trying to advise a newbie on a low-cost projection arrangement, but am not certain that the modified achromats out there are suitable designs - I think the achromatic doublet in these IS cemented.

Prolonged solar projection will indeed melt or burn the cement in doublet eyepiece lenses, and will also crack glass in uncemented designs. I no longer use projection in a 6" aperture due to ruined eyepieces, even cheap ones. DIY with film aperture filters is too inexpensive to do otherwise, advise him in this direction. Ron

Surplus Shed. 20mm and 12.5mm Huygens, $5.95.

Cheap, but well built.
