Rini EP opinions?

I am looking for a low cost, low power knockaround eyepiece, and have been considering the Ganymede/Rini 35mm 60 degree. I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with this eyepiece or other similar ones from him. I know it won't be a 35 panoptic in performance, but what can I expect in a 8" f/6 scope? Is this a good ep, or would I be better off looking for a used Orion Plossl or something? Any help would be appreciated, and thank you in advance for any feedback...

I just bought a pair of Rini 30mm 1-1/4" eypieces for knock-around public star party use in my binoviewer on my 18" f/4.2 scope. The OCS on the binoviewer slows the scope to f/5. I was impressed how well these $29 eyepieces did at f/5. Much better than I anticipated. I was happy with my purchase.

I have a 25mm Rini 'modified plossl' 60 deg that's been a nice low-power workhorse eyepiece for me, but not threaded for filters, and also a 25mm 'modified ortho' with a whopping 80 degree field (?!) that cost me 15 bucks and has that great 'spacewalk' immersive feel although edge sharpness is horrible in that one.

Very satisfying playthings when you're using them and remembering what they cost. And you don't scream when you drop it.
