Panoptics for planetary use?

Good Morning!
Does anyone here have experience with barlowing Panoptics to use for planetary viewing? I'm particularly interested in the performance of the 19MM Panoptic. Another review site has an article comparing the performance of various planetary eyepieces and they rate the 19 Pan very low for this kinds of use. It would ccertainly be nice to use the 19 in a binoviewer for wide field, and then barlow the BV for double duty on the planets. Thanks for any comments you might be willing to share!

I like that eyepiece a lot, too. I have used it in a 12" DOB, 8" SCT, and a 4" APO. It is very sharp, and I am surprised that it got poor reviews on planets, except for the low power. But a barlow changes that. In the APO I have compared the views barlowed side by side with a Radian of similar focal length, and I preferred the view in the Pan. I am interested in what other people have found.

Haven't used the 19mm, but I did compare my 24mm Pan in a TV barlow with my 11mm TV plossl and I liked the view in the Pan/Barlow combo better.
