Does anyone have any experiance with these type of eyepeices? What areas of proformance do they come up short of the more expensive types? I had been considering a TV Radian, but at less than a third of the cost, how far off are these?

Thanks for any help,

Robert

I've been using them for about a month - replaced all my Plossl's after trying out the 25mm. I also bought a couple of the Celestron XCEL ep's. They're identical to the Epic's and $5 cheaper. All I've been able to do is use them on Jupiter and Saturn; still waiting for some good weather. Sharpness seems to be equivalent to TV Plossl's with more neutral color and a bit more contrast. Light throughput seems to be about the same. There is faint red ghosting on Jupiter. Eye relief is great and forgiving as to eye position. They're big and heavy so I had to add some weights to my 8" SCT. I'll be adding a 7.5 or 8mm before Mars gets here. Might even get a 6mm and hope for great seeing. One note - they barlow well but eye relief gets real touchy.
