What eyepiece should one have to take in the full area of Andromeda and then much more?

My best view of Andromeda at a dark location was with 20X100 binos giving about 2.5 degrees. Andromeda essentially filled the field, i.e., went from edge to edge. Perhaps an 8" F/5 mirror with a 31mm Nagler could do it. What scope are you planning to use?

I use a 4"/f6.5 refractor and 42mm GSO superview (some 65 deg AFOV)
- which results in 3.9deg true field of view.
But I'm still unimpressed by M31, the sight keeps being dominated by the
mostly featureless core. So to me m31 is photographically much more
impressive than visually.
