The last thing I need is another eyepiece but as an avid eyepiece junkie...
GSO has produced a new 5mm 65 AFOV five element ocular. The price was right from Owl so I've ordered one today. If I receive it before my dark-sky outing next week, I will test it and report if it's ghostless/flareless or not. Perhaps I'll have a chance to compare it with Floyd Blue's 5.2mm pentax XL.
I see Owl also has a 2" 38mm monster for about $25.00 less than the competition and it appears to be similar to the Burgess eyepiece that did fairly well in some reviews I've read. Hmm...

Will be interested in your review. A friend indicated that he may buy one, but I cautioned him to wait. Now with your review coming up it will be interesting to hear what you have to say. I have a few wide angle GSOs. My best is a 42mm 2" which does a creditable job as a finder eyepiece for star hopping. The others are OK when used with a 1.5 Proxima Barlow. My problem is that we only recently found a decent location (+mag 6 skies) where a reasonable evaluation can be done. In the next few weeks it will be possible to do some testing. In the mean time I am buying a 25mm and 20mm Tele Vue plossl so that I wlll have a basis of comparison with some acceptable eyepieces. Also, a friend has a few Naglers for me to drool over. But, don't hesitate, get out there and tell us what you think. I for one will not buy it any way. Am now gravitating to a few more TV plossls and a Radian or two. However, I know that the Naglers are only a matter of time.
