has anyone bought a 1rpd blem? if so how bad are they? should i just spring for the $95 one?

What scope(s) are you going to use this eyepiece in? If the scope is F10 or so, it will provide some nice images. In a fast scope things get nasty pretty quickly.

John Hopper is very conservative and careful
about rating stuff. Probably what he calls a
blem is extremely minor.
