How many of you are currently under 30? Anyone else feel old before their time because this is a more "chronologically advanced" hobby? (Please no "I was 26 when I started observing in 1897" or "my kid observes with us and he's 11!")

Darn...I thought "UNDER 30" was in reference to less then 30 inches of Aperature ...

How about this then:

Twenty-Eight... He's the youngest but I never could get any of em interested in astronomy.

25 here! Been into astronomy since I was 15... on my 9th or 10th scope plus numerous other accessories.

Personally, I don't see why Astronomy would make you feel "older"... but I can certainly see why it could make you feel "smarter"...

I'm 39 going to be 40 in July (wife, 3 kids, job, bills...), so I cannot be part of your club... that's too bad... somebody pass me a Kleenex wink LOL!

Clear skies, my young friends! (and my older ones too!) wink

I still get carded, so I must look under 30. I'll take it.

I'm 29. Have been for 9 years now. I know I've wasted a lot of time and have taken this age for granted, but it's only recently that I've decided I'm ready to move on to 30.

I'll probably be 30 for a few years, then move on once more...

I am a 21 year old college student. It is a difficult hobby because of its high cost.
