Stellarview diagonal quality?

I'm wondering about the quality of the Stellarview Diagonals.
How do they rate compared to the Everbright or the W.O. "enhanced coatings"?
I like the fact that they bother to double check collimation.

David,

Our local guru looked at mine and felt that there was a bit of a problem with it. I am sorry I can't remember exactly what he said, but something about the end of the diagonal intruding into the light path? He is probably right, but I have the 2" Stellarvue and a 2" Everbright and I can't see a difference. That is why I can't remember what the problem was, it was nothing I could see.

David,
Vic Maris gave a good description of the design for the 2" SV diagonal a few months ago on the Stellarvue Yahoo group. Check message #42679 there to see the message.

Guys,

You cannot compare diagonals based on the views, at least if not side-by-side. Only a junk diagonal will have noticeably inferior views.

Even the reflectivity doesn't matter.

You have to look at the collimation and astigmatism only, for example by means of a star test.

Then there are issues of cleaning . . . but you cannot judge them from the views, can you?
