Are there any spectrometers available for amateur telescopes at a "reasonable" price? Alternatively- can one be built? If so, are plans available?

Thanks-
MH

Hi Mark --

I've been threatening to build one for a while and have managed to acquire a diffraction grating and assorted other spectroscope related pieces, just about all thru Astromart classifieds.
There seem to be quite a few design options and there has been some recent discussion on the topic. Check the Astromart archives and a short forum string titled 'Hey Rick" a few days ago. I've also found a few useful references via Google.
Good luck.
