Has anyone ever used this tool? How is it compared to a cheshire or a sight tube? Can I use this for my 16 in f4.5? Any general information about it?

Thanks guys

The Aline does replace the cheshire. It requires your primary to have an accurate center spot. Basically it allows you to see the center spot of your primary mirror directly at the focuser (because of the reflective tape that is on the bottom of the aline) and when the center spot is centered in your focuser your collimated. I haven't compared it to a cheshire, but after using the aline, I put a laser on it and it was dead on.
