Plans for making an observing chair

Well after a night of borrowing someone's Orion deluxe observing chair I have decided I definitely need one. One problem.... I don't have $200 to spend on a chair! So I am in the hunt, looking for plans and the people who have built such a chair to get ideas to build one.

Hi Tom
Must be a run on observing chairs, another site I read has just discussed chairs. A very easy to make and very inexpensive chair is the Denver Chair. Do a Google search and you will get many sites with instructions and plans. Just a few hand tools, a 2x4 8', some simple hardware is all you need. Minde you it isn't as pretty most of the others but you can't beat the price. If you break it or loose it, it's no big deal, if you don't like it you can burn it in the morning to warm up.

Take a look at this one, I believe it is the Denver Observing chair.
