If you think that you are having a bad day, take a look at what can happen when you uncover a big mirror on a sunny day.

Cheers!

If you were standing just three inches more to your left, you would have been in real trouble there buckaroo!
When I was building my 36" I had the roll off roof open about two feet to let in some light. It was cloudy, so I thought it was ok. I smelled something burning, couldn't figure what, until I saw smoke coming up off the indoor/outdoor/office carpet. The mirror burned a 6" diameter hole in the carpet about four feet to the side of the scope. I can imagine how dangerous that would be at big star parties with hundreds of scopes set up out in the open daylight.

You almost got yourself a free cauterized vasectomy. Personally, I'd let my urologist do that kind of work for me.
Reminds me of when I was a kid with shoulder length hair and was working at my drillpress one day without a ponytail. I quickly found myself in a reverse tug-of-war with the drill press as my long golden locks wound around the chuck. Fortunately my hair pulls out easier than my scalp tears off. In the next moment I was being face slapped by my twirling blond brush and had a 1" square bald spot.
