Hi Gang,
I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with that mount.I was thinking of picking one up to put my ED 80 on.Their inexpensive and I want it just for a quick look.Are the motions pretty smooth?

Hi David,
I have an ED80 riding on an Astroview mount and find the pair very well matched for visual use. The motions on mine are quite smooth and there is little vibration with focusing. The mount easily handles the ED80.
The only complaint I have regarding the mount is that the screws that hold the slo-mo controls to the mount loosen very easily. I usually have to retighten them a couple of times each session. They have never loosened enough that they fall off, but it is a mild iritation.
Over all, I am satisfied with the mount for the ED80.
