Celestron New Advanced Series CG-5--Improved?

My budget doesn't allow for high end GOTO mounts. Does anyone have any experience with the new CG-5 computerized mounts with the 2" diameter legs?

Is the quality control seem good? If not, any suggestions for a quality mount in the same price range?

I, too, am interested in these mounts. I have not been able to find much information on the Celestron version, but Company 7 has a very detailed write-up of the Orion Skyview Pro version, which I think is very similar. These new mounts sound like a big improvement over the old CG5's they replace.

I have one of these mounts and must say that it feels very solid. The goto feature however is not so good - I had to open the box and attach few wires and still the motors sometimes fail to run.
And in my mind the motors are very noisy especially when slewing to object at full speed. Something has to be done or else we're going to lose our neigbours respect.
Is this noise normal ? What can be done ?
