Bearings for an Edcorp Mount

I am rebuilding the mount for my 6" f8 Edmund. It has 1" shafts and at a couple of points there are nylon bearings. Any ideas on where to get them?? Or how to fabricate them?

They can be fabricated from "Delrin" a type of machinable plastic using an engine lathe. Alternately, UHMW (high density polyethylene) can be used with good results. This is a simple machining job compared to making anything from metal so someone at a high school or college machine shop might be happy to help you make them.
