Any suggestions for an end cap from a common household item that would fit into a 2" virtual back opening?

Hi Wayne,
I've run across some of the larger screw on caps from large bottles that have come in handy from time to time. The plastic screw threads allows them to be Gently screwed on a lot of things as temporary covers. Can't think of anything that would fit your application right off but look at some of the plastic caps used on jars, etc.
Good Luck! Clear Skies, Bill

A picture would help. Don't know if this would work, but I have used PVC caps for 1.5" pipe that has a 2" OD. This slides into my 2" barlow EP Slot. Must file off a small tab to make it fit. To remove from barlow I drilled a hole and screwed in a drawer pull. Total cost $0.98 plus tax (already had the drawer pull). If interested will post picture.

I went to the local hardware store and bought large corks to seal my 2" openings in my scope and diagonal. They can be clamped harder with the compression ring than the flimsy plastic plugs you get with astro gear. The price is right as well and they are hard to lose and quite tough and resilient.
