I tried a TV BVer with Naglers on my AR-6. It ended up making the scope being pretty heavy and the BV setup was not stable mounted on my WO diagonal. The diagonal always wanted to rotate down due to the weight of the BV setup. I could not tighten the 2 set screws on the focuser enough manually to keep the diagonal from rotating. An option would be to remove the BV setup when slewing, center with a single eyepiece and then remount the BVers. Kind of tedious though not to mention the scope balancing issues. No problems when using the TV BV on my Meade SN-8 because there is no diagonal needed.

Hi,

I am binoviewing with my Meade 152. I have a LX750 mount and it is very stable. I am using an optical corrector but you can bypass the diagonal on a lot of refractors and achieve focus. The viewing angle stinks that way.

I have also had very good luck putting the corrector before the diagonal. I currently have a Sieberts 1.3 OCA in front of a 1 1/4" diagonal followed by my Black Night Binoviewer. I find it works very well. I have also used a Meade 90mm and a Celestron 102 wide field refractor. I did have an AR5 before I got my Meade 152.
