Posting Pictures with Adds

Hello,

I am having trouble posting pictures with my classifieds. When I store my pictures on my hard drive, the JPG files for each picture are like 2 mb. The Astromart site tells me that it only accepts files of 0.5 mb or smaller. Anyone know how I can shrink the size of the picture files on my hard drive so I can atach them to the add? I can't be the only person to have encountered this problem.

Yes, this comes up at least once a month. You can search our past for solutions.

There are online free software places that will help you shrink photo files (Google that). If you have Photoshop (what I use) or other photo software, you may already have something that does the same. I think the software for my camera can, and perhaps the photo filing system that came with my computer will too. Get small!

Actually, I find that the easiest solution is to set my digital camera to a low resolution which is just fine for internet posting. Then I don't have to mess with resizing at all! Most digital cameras allow for this in the settings.
