I built this rocker box on a Friday evening just before we went on vacation Saturday morning back in July so I could take my 120mm Skywatcher refractor with us on vacation. I have since sold the 120mm and no longer need the rocker box. (I'm keeping the padauk tripod legs for another project - not pictured) Due to it's quicky design the scope will only go to about 60 degrees altitude. Good enough for terrestrial use, but a little limited for astro use. Also due to it's design you have to take the focuser off of the OTA so you can slide the cradle over the tube. What can I say. I was in a hurry. :-) No finish has been applied to the baltic birch plywood.
The rings have openings of 4 5/8" with VERY little adjustment. Just enough to slide the 120mm OTA into them and then tighten down the nuts.
