I'm selling an A. Jaegers 2.7-inch focuser that is in
very nice condition. It looks like it's been used
in a telescope as someone attempted to drill only one
hole in the aluminum skirt that isn't very deep, and
is visible in one of the photographs. The skirt is
not bare machined aluminum, so I suspect it was glued
into a telescope tube instead. Just my guess. However,
the flat black paint on the inside of the drawtube
shows absolutely no signs of wear. The focuser fits
a telescope tube with inside diameter of 4.875 inches,
and would be used for the Jaeger's 5-inch f/5 refractor
kit. The racking motion is smooth.
The focuser also comes with a 2.7-inch to 1.25-inch
adapter. Both the focuser and the adapter are missing
the locking thumbscrews. The focuser is finished in
black wrinkle paint that is not as highly textured as
some that I've seen, and the adapter is black anodized
I'm asking $110.00 for the focuser and adapter, and
I'll cover the cost of shipping to anywhere in the
continental United States.
Thanks for looking at my advertisement.
