Thanks for all the replies. This sold very quickly - if the deal
falls thru for some reason I will repost- Herb

This mirror was hand figured by Gerry Wilkinson , formerly of Galaxy Optics (he inscribed it on the back). It is a lightweight 10" f/4.5 (1" thick) with enhanced IAD coatings by Spectrum, mirror mount included - a very nice one which is adapted to a 9 point suspension that provides good support. The diagonal is 1.83" certified Quartz by Protostar (certification papers included). To reduce the central obstruction to a minimum it has been attached to the holder at three points using silicon adhesive. The diagonal holder and spider are also by Protostar, of the reduced diffraction 3 vane type with built in offset. Protostar ( also offers a very good ultra black flocking paper which can be used to line the inside of your tube assembly- far superior to flat black paint. The focuser is an ultra low profile 2" helical manufactured by Gary Wolanski (search for 'Gary's Astro Focusers' for pictures and details- low boy model). This is the best helical focuser I have used, very smooth, nicely made and just 3/4" height including the 1.25" adapter! Gary also sells parfocalizing rings to make the focuser a pleasure to use with eyepieces that are not parfocal. This focuser makes it possible to use a 1.83" diagonal without cutting off the primary light cone. As you can see each part has been carefully chosen to allow for the construction of an exceptionally lightweight high quality tube assembly. They will fit standard 12" I.D. sonotube or equivalent. Everything in good condition. $525 including UPS 3 day select shipping and insurance in CONUS.
