TSC-225 (225mm f/12) schmidt-cassegrain. Number 3 of the 1990 run, only 100 were made. This is possibly the most exquisite image system I have ever encountered. The TSC beat my FCT-150 on Martian detail, with my AP/Baader bino-viewer, I have seen fine filamentary detail in NGC6992 in 5.7 mag. skies, and fits wonderfully in the front seat of a car. Weighs 22lbs and comes with the Universal Dovetail plate ready to mate to a G11. ( I would not recommend this ota on the GM-8 or G9). Has 7x50 illuminated finder, Takahashi 2-inch accessory ring, Takahashi cooling fan and dust filter. The scope is also equipped with a Takahashi dovetail bar for use on most Tak mounts.
I rate the TSC to be in extremely good condition for its age. The metal dust cap does have some wear, but the scope body and finder is of showroom quality. I have several photos upon request. I paid $3900 in April of 01'. I am parting because the focal length is too long for my viewing applications and, well, I have the FCT which sees far more use. I ask $3750 plus $40 shipping or a trade for the FSQ-106N, FSQ-106, FS-128, or other high-end equipment. You can call as late as 2am P.S.T. and I will elaborate over any questions you have.
