This is a cool 3.1 megapixel camera that got rave reviews in all of the magazines. It has both fully automatic ease of use with the power of manual controls as well. THe manual modes allow you to fine tune your astrophotography. Offers 100 ISO - 400 ISO sensitivity and long exposure capability. It is in perfect condition optically and mechanically, but it has been used. the outer frame on the barrel of the telephoto has some scratches from the set screws in my cobbled together PVC adapter for lens projection astrophotography. I will include my adapter. It may not work with your setup, but it might give you a blueprint to follow.

You can get all the specs at kodak's website. I paid more than 800, but now these are going for around $550. For a while you could get a hundred dollar rebate, but that is over now. I am asking $350, but would rather trade for a portable scope like an Orion XT8 or something like a Celestron refractor in the 5 to 6 inch range. (I made a trade for my big dob, but it is so big that I will still need a portable scope for taking out on family outings when the car is full of stuff for my wife and kids.

Let me know what you have and we'll go from there. I am in Utah, but will be headed to California later this month to pick up my new dob. I have all the boxes and manuals, USB cord, A/V cord, AC adapter, and the 16 Mb compact flash that came with it, and the rechargeable battery, of course. I have an extra compact flash card that I could throw in for the right scope.

As for why I am selling it...I bought a Canon D30. Image quality and resolution is close, but the D30 fits all my EOS lenses. I still have my older DC290 and since it uses AA bateries which are readily available anywhere, so it will be a better point and shoot for my wife.
