Takahashi FS-128G (5", f/8 apochromatic refractor with 4" focuser) and EM-200 mount (with tripod, mount control paddle and 2 counter-weights)

Excellent condition. I am the original owner. I am selling to make room for a 16" RC. The optics of the scope and performance of the mount are outstanding. Astrophotographs that I took with this scope and mount can be seen at the bottom of the page at the following link:

The FS-128G is a highly transportable 5", f/8 apochromatic refractor. The 4" focuser allows medium format photography. When using a Pentax 6X7 camera back and Takahashi reducer at f/5.9, the telescope produces a 63mm image circle; and if used with the Takahashi flattener at f/9 the telescope produces an amazing 89mm image circle (Pentax camera back, Tak reducer or Tak flattner are not included).

The EM-2OOUSD mount provides a stable highly accurate platform for astrophotography. The integral polar alignment telescope and R.A. axis level make accurate polar alignment to within 2 arc minutes of the celestial pole easy and very quick. Tedious leveling is not necessary. The reticle used is designed to be used in either Hemispheres until the year 2030.

I purchased the set up last year from Anacortes for $9400. I will sell for $6775 OBO.

Serious inquires please email me at:

Below is a photograph of the setup.
