REDUCED!! $2,250 OBO

For sale is my 15" F5 Truss Discovery Dobsonian Reflector. It has a great mirror!! The scope is certified from Discovery at 0.96 Strehl, and 0.16 Wave, Peak to Valley. (1/6.25 wave)! I will provide the certification papers to the buyer.

The scope comes with Discovery wheelbarrow-style handles, a shroud, and beautiful 80mm Stellarvue right-angle finder-scope WITH case. (The finder scope has illuminated cross-hair capability, but screw-in illuminator is missing. Should be an inexpensive replacement from Stellarvue.) It also has a mounting bracket for a Telrad finder-scope, but does not come with the Telrad itself. This scope is in very good condition, and has been an excellent performer. I have enjoyed many thrilling views of DSO's as well as planets. Lunar observing is also spectacular through this scope. The primary mirror has a small area (maybe 1/4 inch square) with some sleeks by one mirror clip, where it appears that a previous owner moved the mirror slightly without sufficiently loosening the clip. This in no way seems to materially affect observing quality. I can email more photos upon request.

The scope performs beautifully, but I need to get something smaller. See Discovery Telescope's website for further specs on this telescope. New, this setup costs $3,224, including shipping. That does not include the 80mm Stellarvue finder (worth $249) and case, or the wheelbarrow handles (worth $150).

The entire set-up is worth $3,623, I am asking only $2250 for the entire setup, or best offer.

Let me know if you have any questions!
