The SVQ100 is a unique four element telescope designed for full frame imaging. It is made on a very short optical tube assembly, well within airline carry-on size limits so you can safely take it anywhere you go. The field is absolutely flat and color correction is virtually "reflector-like" thanks to an advanced optical system using Ohara FPL53 optical glass.

We wanted our quad to be extremely stable to maintain alignment and easily hold the heaviest astro cameras. For this reason, we employ the Feather Touch 3" dual-speed, rack and pinion focuser exclusively on this model. The telescope comes with a threaded camera adapter and 1.25" and 2" compression ring adapters.

Visually the 100Q is no slouch. Stars are pinpoint and color correction is perfect. While this telescope is optimized for imaging, you will enjoy wide, crisp visual fields unlike longer focal length instruments.

* 100 mm f-5.8 Quad made with Ohara FPL-53
* Includes a 3" Feather Touch focuser
* Dual hinged mounting rings
* Camera adapter
* 1.25" and 2" compression ring visual adapters
* Foam lined hard case.

Jon Talbot has tested this instrument and found it is flat to about 8% on a full frame 35mm chip and 6% with an APS Chip. This is the target astro-imagers look for. The beauty of this particular FPL-53 four element design is the telescope is extremely short (airline carry-on size) which means it is very stable. In addition, no field flattener is needed. You simply plug and play. So this is an exceptional telescope for imagers at an exceptional price.
