Here is the adapter many of you have been waiting for! This accessory will adapt your L-bracket based (William Optics, etc) or clamshell mounted small refractor (Televue, Takahashi, SV Nighthawk classic, etc) to a Vixen GP, Sphinx or Vixen-style mount (Meade LXD 55/75, Celestron CG-5, Orion SVP, etc.) and to some Alt-az mounts on the market. It will also adapt many spotting telescopes equipped with a ¼-20 tripod adapter to the above mentioned mounts. This is a very robust adapter, machined from solid aluminum bar. The hole and slot for the screws are counter bored, so you can slide it on the mount’s saddle to help balance the scope. The included stud goes into the untapped hole in the L-bracket and prevents the scope from swinging with respect to the mount.
