Celestron Nexstar 5i GOTO SCT in excellent condition. Trading in for larger scope.

Comes with Computerized Hand Control (#93962), with 40,000 object database. This HC used to be an optional accessory, and only recently became part of the 5i standard package.

Upgraded NexStar steel tripod/mount (#93593). This tripod/mount is an UPGRADE from the one Celestron currently supplies with the 5i. Whereas that one is also sold with the Nexstar 4, the one supplied here is packaged with the 8i, and an optional upgrade for the 5i. This is the "newer" version of the 93593 with steel legs. In his book on Nexstar scopes, Mike Swanson says (on page 143): "The added stability will be welcomed if you mount additional equipment on your Nexstar 5i, such as a 35mm camera."

Other items also included: original hand control unit, red dot star pointer, 10mm NexStar Plossl (multi-coated, with end caps), 90 degree standard diagonal, front metal lens cover, visual back with dust cap, the original boxes, and the original manual.

Extra items also included: Celestron flexible DEW SHIELD. BOB'S KNOBS for easily collimation.

Price: $680.

Prefer pickup (Santa Rosa or Oakland, CA).

Feel free to respond with any questions.
