Selling my Televue Pronto on a Panoramic mount with Starbeam and other goodies. I have had 2 rangers and 2 prontos and this is the sharpest of the bunch. This is a great set up and I had no intention to sell, but I just got an email tonight on an inexpensive FS-78 and could not resist.

Pronto is in excellent shape optically, mechanically and cosmetically with exception of small region of small scratches on dew shield. Not noticeable unless you are looking for them. I don’t think I can photograph them. This is a set screw model, not compression ring. Notched double double at 69x (7mm Nagler) with beautiful clean split at 100x (4.8mm Nagler). Has case and clamshell. No eyepieces.

Panoramic mount is the old style which is not compatible with televue’s encoders. Motion is smooth in both axies. Could probably use a replacement delrin bushing in az motion (the black plastic insert in tripod head), but works quite well as it is. Because this mount is the old style, it was not drilled for eyepiece caddies or handle. I have very carefully drilled the head for eyepiece caddies using televue’s instructions. I have not drilled the cradle for the handle. Legs stick a bit in the summer. Finish is quite beautiful and looks like a typical ash panoramic mount, but I was told by the previous owner that it had been refinished.

Starbeam is also the old model – pre flip mirror, but I have added a flip mirror. It is in very nice shape with the exception of a small scratch that I covered with black marker a couple of years ago. Looks great. This starbeam has both the televue base as well as the universal base (the universal base seems about right for a 6” o.d. tube).

2” Televue diagonal, again old style, non everbright, set screw model. Some dust, but not worth cleaning. I do not have a balance aide as such. I drilled a hardwood block to act as a balance aide for use with 2” diagonal. Should have made it a tad longer. If you buy the package, you will probably want a balance aide. Either that, or get a 1.25” diagonal.

Package including pronto, case, clamshell, panoramic mount, eyepiece caddies, handle (mount not drilled for handle), starbeam with flip mirror, tv base and universal base, 2” tv diagonal.

Will consider breaking up package, but preference to package buyer. If sold separately then prices are:
Pronto with clamshell and case $600
Panoramic mount with eyepiece caddies and handle (cradle not drilled for handle) $300
Starbeam with flip mirror, t.v. base and universal base $140
TV 2" non everbright, set screw diagonal $85
