For those not familiar with Stellarvue's products, the Nighthawk is a very well made 80mm f/6 achromat refractor with a 2" focuser and costs $399.00 plus shipping if you buy it brand new.

This is the newest version of the Nighthawk with the deluxe mounting ring, sliding dew shield, screw on dust cap, 2" to 1.25" focuser adapter, stellarvue red dot finder and a very smooth 2" rack and pinion focuser. I will also be including a pair of Orion's tube rings so you have more options for mounting this scope on the mount of your choice. My Nighthawk is about 3 months old and is still in like new condition, with no marks anywhere that I can see. This scope has been used primarily as my quick look nighttime scope. The fov is incredible with my 2", 30mm, 80 degree eyepiece (1rpd), providing me about 5 degrees of true field at 16x. This scope blew away my old 80mm Celestron short tube as far as false color and sharpness goes but it's still an achromat and performs as such. My other uses for this scope was white light solar viewing and mid to high power lunar observing with my binoviewer, the views are amazingly sharp compared to my old Celestron, and besides that, the Celestron felt like it couldn't really handle the weight of a binoviewer hanging off the end. The Nighthawk on the other hand is built like a tank (all metal) and the 2" rack and pinion focuser can handle the weight of a binoviewer with no problem.

I am only selling this excellent scope because I am moving up to an apo real soon and can't afford to have both.

$300.00 includes shipping (in the original boxes) with insurance - I prefer paypal (no extra fee) but I will also gladly accept a postal money order.

Thanks for looking,

Garry Johnson
