This is a great laptop. It has a strong cult following among Mac users. It is a work of art to look at... has 2 modular bays for peripherals. Right now it has a DVD in one and battery in the other (how it came from Apple). It has a 14.1" TFT LCD display, firewire, 10gig HD, and a long list of features.
It can also be upgraded. Several companies will replace the 400mhz G3 processor with faster ones like 900mhz G3s or 550mhz G4s. You can also boost the RAM up to 1GHZ, and put in a bigger hard drive. I can give you more info if interested. Many people prefer these to the newer Powerbooks because of the design and flexibility.
This one is in fine shape. It comes in it's original box, with receipt... also all original cables, power supply, and even system restore disks (OS and software). I believe the disks are for OS9, although it has OSX 10.3 installed on it right now. It was used sparingly as a portable DVD player by it's original owner, and has mostly sat in the closet since I bought it. So, the keyboard and screen look great. Hinges are solid. I am just not using it.
Battery appears to hold some charge, but not like new. Replacements are easy to find.
Asking $425 shipped CONUS.
I think I could get more for it at a certain auction site, but I prefer selling on Astromart if possible.
Thanks for looking.-Mike
