Unable to find a local buyer for my very nice 6" f8 planetary scope, I'm parting it out. The primary is Russian-made on their equivalent of Pyrex. I originally bought it from Joe Sunseri of Earth and Sky, about 4 years ago. There is no test certificate but Joe told me these mirrors run 1/8-1/10 wave. The star test shows nice clean diffraction rings, indicating a smooth figure, no astigmatism, and just a touch of undercorrection. Images in the eyepiece are very nice. I am listing it as a 6" f8 but I think it may actually be a 150mm "metric 6," in any case it fits fine in the adjustable Novak cell.
The cell is a Novak Research Grade cell that will fit a 6-7/8" id tube, or can be shimmed for larger tubes. It is a very nice cast-aluminum cell from a maker who should be familiar
to any experienced ATM.
Condition of both items is excellent. The mirror has never been cleaned. The cell has a few marks on the paint from collimation adjustment but is otherwise like new.
