All in excellent condition. Includes Telepod head, with handle and encoders, on a telepod tripod.
The Tele-Pod Mount is a complete 7 lb., Alt-Az, mounting system, great for traveling with our smaller scopes. Telescope height ranges from 28" to 62". The 2-section, black anodized, aluminum tripod legs are foam covered. Each leg has a retractable rubber- tipped foot which reveals a metal ground spike. The center column has a 1/4-20 stud on one end and a removable 3/8-16 stud base on the other end.
The Yoke & Cradle type mount head balances your scope at its center of gravity. Because the Tele-Pod head has a built-in azimuth bearing, it can be removed and used on any camera tripod having 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 screws.
The encoders will work with: Jmi miniMax, micromax, max, supermax, Argo NAvis, Celestron advanced astromaster, any of the Orion or Lumicon boxes, the TeleVue Sky Tour (any of the tangent boxes should be just fine) or the Sky Commander - pretty much anything out there. Personally, I've used it with a Sky Commander. Worked quite well with my TV 101, ED80, and AT1010.
The Upswing mount also fits on the Gibralter legs, panoramic legs or a bogen tripod or other tripods that accept Bogen heads. I've decided to go with my Bogen for travel.
Just to let you know what a deal this is, if you were to buy this new, it specs out as follows: Telepod head and tripod - $400 (Anacortes); encoders, mounting hardware & cables - $275 at JMI; for a package total of $675 + shipping).
My price? Just $415 shipped. Paypal, or money order accepted, but add 3% for Paypal. Would prefer to sell as a package; but may consider pieces if that fails.
Thanks for looking,
