I am selling an ETX-125 EC with a 497 Autostar, a 26mm Meade Super Plossl and the 8x25 RA finder, NO TRIPOD. A homemade wooden tripod adapter goes with it..... This is the older version of the ETX-125EC.

Everything works, the optics seem to be good, the scope seems to be collimated, the Autostar does its thing the way it should, seems to be a good scope.

I recently bought this scope used and it does not suit my needs. As a Starhopper/DOB/fast refractor guy I thought I would give the DARK SIDE a try, do the GOTO/MAK thing. Yeah, its neat to have the scope do its Auto Stuff, motors whirring and all, kind of cute, and when the target ends up in the eyepiece, pretty amazing. And the I could get used to sharp stars at the edge of the FOV, but in the end, it pretty clear that this scope ain't gonna do it for me. Heck its harder to remember the names of the objects than it is to remember how to find them.... Lets see, is it NGC 2467 or NGC 2647??

I live in San Diego and would like to sell it to someone in the Southern California area, I don't want to pack and ship this scope unless I have to and I would like the buyer to see it.

Again, Price:$550

Best wishes, dark skies and all that stuff....

Jon Isaacs
