For sale, a really light (~10lbs), 5" apochromat that you'll use frequently because it's just so easy to grab and go! Looks like a 4" but you've got the light gathering capacity of a 5". A big step up in aperture. Sharp, pin-point stars and typical refractor contrast. Color correction is excellent, only surpassed by heavier, more expensive triplets.

Optics and coating are pristine. The OTA is in excellent condition with only a few paint chips on the bottom rear of the finder base. These should be easy to touch up.

I am the original owner and have all documentation. There are 5 1/2 months remaining on the transferable warranty by Hutech.

Objective can be user collimated.

For you Feathertouch focuser fans, Hutech now offers it as an option.

I've used this setup successfully with a Baader wooden tripod, Giro2 and just a 6 lbs counterweight will give nice, smooth motions.

This OTA includes the objective, dewshield, 380mm tube, Hutech OTA rings, finder base, finder holder for 7x50 finder, visual drawtube, MDX focuser, 20mm length 2" eyepiece holder. In total, I spent $3,678.

I'm selling the OTA with components listed above for $2,600 plus shipping.

Let me know if you have questions.

In addition, I have other accessories you might be interested in: riser blocks, Losmandy GM8 plate, different length 2" ep holders, the entire Baader/Giro/GM8 setup. Ask me.
