Like-new Tectron sight tube and AUTOCOLLIMATOR. With the manual "Perspectives on Collimation" by Vic Menard and Tippy D'Auria. I don't have the Tectron cheshire, but I'll add a home-built one for free.

Sight Tube

The basic mechanical alignment tool for Newtonian telescopes. This tool is necessary for placing the diagonal mirror in the proper place, and aiming the diagonal mirror at the center of the primary. If you only buy one tool at a time - this is the one you need first.

This is the final step for collimating your Newtonian. Don't try to use it without first going through the proper steps with the Sight Tube. It won't work! The collimation has to be close to begin with or this tool will frustrate you because it is so critical. This tool is also for collimating classical cassegrains. (Not for catadioptrics.)

"The most important tool any technician can use to achieve a complex task or create a complicated device is to have a plan. The plan should explain what is to be accomplished and list the procedures or processes that detail 'how to do it'. With this principal in mind, the most important item provided by Tectron is their booklet "Perspectives on Collimation."
