Note: the both scopes are 80mm. Due to a typo I originaly described the Celestron as a "C90." It is in fact a C80.

Here you have your choice of 2 Japanese (not Chinese) 80mm achromatic f/11 range telescopes from the 2 leading scope companies. Both scopes are several years old. Both are a cut above almost anything in that size available today, although Vixen currently offers an 80mm tube. Only optical tube, focuser and objective covers are included--no rings, finders, or any other accessory.

The Meade, covered in a stunning deep blue paint is a Model #312. D-80 F=11. With excellant mechanics and optics it gave wonderful views of Jupiter and 3 moons last night, almost resolving the discs of two moons with a 6mm eyepiece. Only $180.

For the slightly more discerning (or elitist-snob like me) we have in front (in glossy black) the Celestron (Vixen) C80 f=910. With typical superior Vixen fit and finish, the slightly better optics gave slightly cripser views of Jupiter, with a tad less halo effect around this bright object. You could see, yes, festoons! $200

Both scopes are older used telescopes and show some evidence of such, but nothing to interfere with using them in the dark. Or even, really, using them in the light. Shipping $17 in the US, Fedex. Paypal prefered (credit cards accepted there) or cash, check, money order. Will ship anywhere.
