Last month I offered this book under "Software & Publications," but it may be of greater interest to those who peruse the classifieds under "Antiques & Collectibles." This is a fascinating old book with over 140 illustrations, including photos, star maps and diagrams, by a University of Denver astronomer who was the first director of its Chamberlin Observatory. The book contains a history of astronomy, an explanation of the apparent celestial motions, descriptions of the constellations, the sun, the moon, the planets, comets, stars and nebulae, and in the words of the author's preface: "The reader is introduced to the astronomer, inspects an observatory, and becomes acquainted with the most important instruments and their uses."
I'm offering the book for $50 and I would accept a check from a well-rated Astromarter or a USPS money order. No Pay-Pal.
