I purchased this OTA used from a fellow astromarter and have found it to be a solid performer; sharp optics (typical of synta's 4" F 9.8's), a better than average 2" focuser with very little play... I think the former owner may have tinkered with it bit; however, it still has the typical synta "lube" on the drawtube. There is some dust on the objective and several tiny "pinpricks" where minute bits of coating have worn off from what must have been less than experienced cleanings (came to me that way). These of course in no way degrade the image. There are obvious signs of use on the body of the tube but nothing objectionable.
I list all of this so you know what to expect, but realize that this is a much better scope to look thru than to admire in your study or den. I'm only selling this old performer because I just bought a 5" Burgess.
Included will be a 2" to 1 1/4" adapter. No diagonal or eyepieces. I am only asking $135, shipped to your door. Open to offers, but it's worth the asking price.
I accept PayPal (with their pesky 3% fee), money orders, or even a personal check if you don't mind the wait while it clears (no wait to buyers with a well established rating).
Cheers, and Clear Skies!
